Air cooled water chiller system is a common refrigeration equipment widely used in industrial, commercial and domestic environments. It uses the principle of air cooling to absorb heat from the heat source and dissipate it to the surrounding environment through the circulation system to maintain the temperature of the object being cooled.
The working principle of the air cooled water chiller system is relatively simple. First, it includes core components such as a compressor, condenser, evaporator and expansion valve. The compressor compresses the working medium (usually refrigerant) and converts it into a high-temperature and high-pressure gas. Then, the high-temperature and high-pressure gas contacts the outside air through the condenser, is cooled through heat exchange, and is converted into high-pressure liquid. Next, the high-pressure liquid is depressurized through the expansion valve and becomes low-temperature and low-pressure liquid and enters the evaporator. Inside the evaporator, the liquid refrigerant absorbs heat and evaporates into gas, causing the surface temperature of the evaporator to drop, thereby absorbing heat from the heat source. Finally, the refrigerant enters the compressor again and the cycle repeats.
Compared with traditional water cooling methods, air-cooled chillers have many advantages. First, it does not require additional cooling water sources and cooling towers, saving energy and space. Secondly, since there is no need for contact with external water sources, air-cooled chillers can avoid problems such as scale and corrosion, extending the service life of the equipment. In addition, air-cooled chillers are flexible and portable and can be moved and installed at any time as needed.
Air-cooled chillers are widely used in various fields. In the industrial field, it is often used to cool various types of equipment and machines, such as laser cutting machines, plastic injection molding machines, welding equipment, etc. In the commercial sector, air-cooled chillers are commonly used in central air-conditioning systems of large buildings such as shopping malls, hotels and office buildings to provide comfortable indoor temperatures. In a home environment, air-cooled chillers can be used to cool household appliances, swimming pools, etc.
However, air-cooled chillers also have some limitations. First, due to its reliance on air cooling, its cooling effect will be affected by ambient temperature and humidity. In high temperature and high humidity environments, its cooling effect may decrease. Secondly, air-cooled chillers are usually noisy and may not be suitable for noise-sensitive working or living environments.
