Calculation of Cooling Capacity of Industrial Chiller
For industrial production with chillers, when cooling equipment and materials, a technical parameter of cooling capacity needs to be considered, so how is it calculated?
Industrial chillers must have sufficient cooling capacity to reach the required temperature. In theory, many engineers and technicians will choose a larger cooling capacity range. In fact, the larger the chiller, the better. Excessive cooling capacity will lead to large equipment investment and high energy consumption.
Therefore, the key for factories to choose suitable industrial chillers is to calculate the cooling capacity and safety factor scientifically and reasonably.
The cooling capacity of an industrial chiller can be calculated using the following formula:
Refrigeration capacity = chilled water flow × 4.187 × temperature difference × coefficient;
The frozen water flow refers to the frozen water flow required when the machine is running;
The temperature difference refers to the temperature difference between the machine entering and leaving the water;
The specific heat capacity of water is 4.187;
The selection requirement multiplier of air-cooled industrial chillers is 1.3;
For the selection of water-cooled industrial chillers 1.1;
The cooling capacity of the water-cooled chiller is large, but a cooling tower needs to be added to achieve a good cooling effect. The cooling tower is a refrigeration device, which is cooled by water, and the heat of the unit itself is consumed by the cooling water, while the chilled water is cooled by the evaporator, and the water source provided by the cooling tower is mainly the heat exchange in the condenser.
The air-cooled chiller adopts the air cooling method, without cooling tower, cooling water pump, or special machine room, and can be installed on the roof and outdoors. The main refrigeration components of the air-cooled industrial chiller are all international well-known brands, with excellent performance and reliable work.
Under normal circumstances, HP (compressor horsepower) is used to calculate industrial chillers. For example, the cooling capacity requirement of 90KW, 1HP≈2.5kW≈735.5kW, of which 2.5kw is the corresponding cooling capacity, 735kw is the corresponding unit power, and 36HP water cooling is selected. Type industrial chillers can basically meet the requirements.
In the selection of industrial chillers, the most important problem is to calculate the demand for cooling capacity, master the calculation formula of cooling capacity, and refer to the notes in the notes, which basically solves the problem of the selection of chillers.
