Ordinary refrigerator chillers are widely used in low-power applications, such as seafood ponds in restaurants, tropical fish farming at home, and small instruments in laboratories. High-power applications, such as industrial injection molding, laser cutting, large power switches, industrial coating machines, printing machinery, casting machinery, and product production lines, all require the use of cooling water systems to ensure that various equipment work at a normal temperature within range.
Refrigerant chiller is a branch of chiller application. It has stricter requirements on the design, manufacture, use, and maintenance of chillers, and has high technical indicators for the temperature, flow, pressure, and cleanliness of cooling water.
1. In terms of temperature, the temperature control accuracy of common refrigerator chillers is required to reach ±0.1 degrees or ±0.05 degrees, or even ±0.01 degrees. There are also some extreme applications that require temperature control accuracy of one thousandth or even one ten thousandth of a degree , such as the constant temperature of precision components inside the lithography machine.

The requirement for the cooling water flow is generally to pursue the stability of the flow, because the fluctuation of the flow will cause some adverse effects on some cooled components, such as optical components and precision magnetic fields are very sensitive to the fluctuation of the flow. The continuous monitoring of the flow, especially the monitoring of the lower limit of the flow and interlock control, is very important for the safe use of user equipment.
3. The cyclic pressure fluctuation of the refrigerator chiller also has different effects on the cooled parts. Some components require a smooth pressure, or some components cannot withstand excessive pressure, or cannot withstand the shock of pressure during initial start-up. In the technical solution of refrigerator chiller, there are corresponding solutions to meet the actual needs of users.
4. The cleanliness of water quality is also a routine requirement of refrigerator chillers. Physical methods such as filters, membrane osmosis, and ion exchange are usually used, and deionized water can also be used directly. The mainstream indicators are generally expressed in terms of resistivity or conductivity. In the entire chiller circulation system, it is necessary to meet certain requirements of conductivity or resistivity, with automatic control at the same time. The current common way to improve conductivity is to directly use deionized water, or to control the number of ions in the circulation system through ion exchange resins.
