What is a Heat Pump Chiller?
Heat pump chillers are also known as cooling and heating chillers, which can provide both chilled water and hot water.
Cooling and heating units are generally used in air-cooled units or small air-conditioning units (such as window air conditioners, split air conditioners, cabinet air conditioners, etc.). The cooling and heating unit can change the flow route of the refrigerant by adding a four-way steering valve in the unit. The condenser is used as an evaporator, and the evaporator is used as a condenser. The inlet and outlet water connected by the casing heat exchanger are the chilled water source and the hot water source.
Refrigeration circuit process: When the unit is in the refrigeration state, the high-temperature and high-pressure gaseous refrigerant at the compressor discharge port enters the condensing heat exchanger through the four-way steering valve. After condensing and releasing heat, it becomes a high-pressure liquid refrigerant, which enters the liquid storage tank through the check valve 1, becomes a low-pressure liquid refrigerant through the throttle valve, and enters the sleeve-type evaporator through the check valve 4 to absorb heat, and becomes a low-pressure gaseous refrigerant. The liquid separator and the four-way valve reach the suction port of the compressor to complete the refrigeration cycle.
Heating circuit process: When the unit is in the heating state, the high temperature and high pressure refrigerant from the exhaust port of the compressor enters the casing heat exchanger through the four-way valve and turns into high pressure liquid, and then enters the liquid storage through the one-way valve 2 The tank becomes a low-pressure liquid refrigerant through the throttle valve, and reaches the fin heat exchanger (that is, the condenser in refrigeration) through one-way valve 3 to evaporate and absorb heat into a low-pressure gaseous refrigerant. The compressor suction port completes the heating cycle.
