Cooling cycle: electric vehicle battery chillers achieve cooling effects through the cooling cycle system. The refrigerant in the chiller (usually an environmentally friendly refrigerant) flows through heat source components such as battery packs, motors and electronic controllers under the action of the circulation pump, absorbing heat.

Heat exchange: The chiller exchanges heat with the battery pack, motor, and electronic controller through a heat exchanger (usually a condenser and evaporator). In the condenser, the refrigerant absorbs heat and cools it down, while in the evaporator, the refrigerant releases heat and returns to the condenser to continue the cycle.

Control system: Electric vehicle battery chillers are usually equipped with intelligent control systems to monitor and adjust the operating status of the cooling system. Through sensors and controllers, parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow can be monitored in real time, and the flow and speed of the refrigerant can be automatically adjusted as needed to ensure just the right cooling effect.

Heat dissipation: The chiller dissipates the heat in the cooled refrigerant to the surrounding environment through the radiator to maintain a stable operating temperature of the cooling system.

The design and selection of electric vehicle battery chillers requires consideration of multiple factors, including the power and temperature requirements of the battery pack, the heat generation of the motor, and the vehicle’s thermal management system. An effective cooling system can improve the performance of new energy vehicles, extend battery life, and provide a safe and reliable operating environment.
