Air-cooled chiller: The air-cooled chiller adopts a finned condenser with a fan on the top to achieve efficient heat dissipation. The air-cooled chiller is easy to install, easy to move, and can be used after plugging in the power supply.
Water-cooled chiller: The difference between water-cooled chiller and air-cooled chiller is that the water-cooled chiller uses a shell-and-tube condenser to take away the heat in the unit, and the water-cooled chiller must be equipped with a cooling tower, and there is no air-cooled chiller for installation. convenient.
Cost: The initial cost of water-cooled chillers is higher than that of air-cooled chillers. Water-cooled chillers need to be equipped with cooling water towers and a separate machine room. In the later period, the power capacity of the air-cooled chiller increased, and the cost of electrical control equipment was relatively high.
Performance: Under the same outdoor ambient temperature, the temperature of the air-cooled type is generally around 8-12°C, and that of the water-cooled type is around 4-8°C. The temperature of the air-cooled chiller under normal operation is much higher than that of the water-cooled chiller, so the industrial air-cooled chiller consumes more power than the industrial water-cooled chiller at the same cooling capacity.
Maintenance: The air-cooled industrial chiller uses a finned condenser. If the condenser is dirty, it will have a great impact, and the finned type must be equipped with a dust filter, and it must be cleaned and maintained regularly. Air-cooled chillers are generally installed outdoors. If the environment is poor, maintenance may be more troublesome than water-cooled chillers.
The water-cooled industrial chiller adopts the shell-and-tube condenser, which produces dirt within a certain range, which has little effect on the heat exchange efficiency of the unit, the cleaning cycle is longer, and the relative maintenance cost is also greatly reduced.
