Causes and Solutions of Common Faults of Chillers
First, the reason why the chiller makes noise:
(1) When the blade rotates, it will collide with the air. The frequency of noise is composed of multiple frequencies, which are all related to the speed of the fan.
(2) If it is because of the vortex of the blades, the noise will also be generated. During the operation of the fan, the vortex will occur on the back of the moving wing. This vortex will not only reduce the power of the fan, but also cause noise. In order to reduce this phenomenon, the blades The installation angle should not be too large, and the fan blade should be lubricated when bent, and the sudden change should not be too large.
(3) It resonates with the air duct shell and makes noise. The joints between the air duct and the fan shell should be smooth to prevent roughness and tearing.
Second, the temperature difference between the water in and out of the chiller is too small.
(1) The output cooling capacity of the chiller is small, which may be the problem of the unit itself, and it is not fully loaded. These can be preliminarily judged by observing the working current and other parameters of the chiller.
(2) It may also be that the heat transfer effect is not good. It may be that the heat transfer tubes have serious fouling, which affects the heat transfer of the chiller. This can be judged by observing the heat transfer temperature difference between the evaporation temperatures.
(3) The water flow is too large, which can be judged by observing the water pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the evaporator and the working current of the water pump.
(4) After eliminating the above problems, check whether the temperature gauge of the sensor is correct.
In addition, when planning, it is sometimes possible to cover the outside of the air duct with sound insulation material, which can effectively reduce noise. In addition to the fixed noise of the fan itself, there are many other noises, such as the abnormal noise caused by the lack of precision of the bearing, improper installation or improper protection. The motor part also produces noise, some of which are caused by poor planning or poor manufacturing quality control, or it may be caused by the internal and external cooling fans of the motor. Therefore, in the selection of equipment, industrial chillers must strictly screen regular products and consider elements such as humanized planning of equipment.
