The external chiller system refers to the pipeline in which the cooling water flows from the cooler to the external cooling device or process equipment for cooling or heat dissipation, and then returns to the cooler for cooling cycle. The external circulation generally consists of pump stations, water tanks, valves, cooling towers and other components. The water circulation lubrication system and heat transfer system in the external circulation are more complex. Each component in the system requires design experience and operational capabilities to ensure stable operation of the system. Through the external circulation water circuit, the water cooler can separate heat from the equipment to achieve cooling purposes.
The internal chiller system refers to the water circuit system inside the chiller, which is mainly used for hot and cold exchange of the refrigeration system. The internal cycle is generally composed of compressors, evaporators, condensers, expansion valves, water pumps, water tanks, valves and other components. The water in the internal circulation is compressed into high-temperature and high-pressure gas by the compressor. In the evaporator, the indoor heat is absorbed through heat exchange to make chilled water, and then the heat is dissipated through heat exchange in the condenser, and then directly returned to the evaporator cycle through the expansion valve. In this cycle, the cooling effect of the system is completed.
The external circulation and internal circulation water circuits of the chiller have corresponding advantages and disadvantages in different applications. For example, the external chiller system has many components and has higher operation and maintenance costs, but it can cool multiple devices and reduce the cost of using the chiller to a certain extent. The internal chiller system has lower operating costs, but it can only be used for internal cooling of the device and does not have the ability to coordinate cooling between multiple devices. Therefore, in actual use, it is necessary to comprehensively consider which waterway system to use based on the needs of specific applications.
