1. Air cooling

The heat dissipation method of the traditional data center is to use air as the refrigerant to exchange heat for the heat-generating components of the server and take away the heat.

2. Liquid cooling (data center liquid cooling system)

Refers to the technology of using liquid instead of air as a refrigerant to exchange heat for heat-generating components and take away heat. Liquid cooling servers must be used when the data center liquid cooling system adopts liquid cooling. The forms are divided into spray type, immersion type, and cold plate type. The main difference between the three is the different heat dissipation methods for the server.

①Spray-type liquid cooling is to spray the coolant on the cooling element of the server to take away the heat generated by the server;

②Immersion liquid cooling refers to a heat dissipation system in which the heat-generating components of the server are completely submerged in the cooling liquid, and the heat of the server is taken away by convection or phase change of the cooling liquid.

③Cold-plate liquid cooling, the CPU and other high-power components of the server use a liquid-cooled cold plate to dissipate heat, and other small heat-generating devices (such as hard disks, interface cards, etc.) still use an air-cooled heat dissipation system;

The cooling effect of the liquid cooling technology of the data center liquid cooling system effectively improves the efficiency and stability of the server and prolongs the service life of the server.
