Precautions for Adding Lubricating Oil to the Chiller
1. Choose oil that has passed the quality certification. Oils of different brands cannot be mixed. Different types of refrigerants should correspond to different lubricating oils, and special attention should be paid to the incompatibility of some synthetic oils with mineral oils. Before filling with oil, ensure that the system is clean and free of impurities such as welding slag.
2. Synthetic oil should be used in the chiller to ensure that the oil is not exposed to the atmosphere for a long time, and the system should be thoroughly evacuated when it is turned on for the first time.
3. In order to dehumidify the system, it is recommended to pass dry nitrogen into the system for drying, and then carry out vacuum treatment. Note: When vacuuming the system, it should be considered that the water vapor will evaporate under low pressure. At this time, part of the dry nitrogen should be filled into the system. It is very important to replace the system with new oil, especially after the motor burns out, the acid residue still remains inside the system, and the system status can be checked by changing the oil. Check the acidity of the lubricating oil, and replace the lubricating oil again after the system runs for 72 hours until the acidity of the lubricating oil reaches the standard value.
4. When filling the lubricating oil, the customer should ensure that the total amount of lubricating oil in the system reaches the filling amount required by the equipment. If the customer’s system has been filled with enough lubricating oil, but part of the lubricating oil needs to be released for maintenance, then only the amount of oil that has been released can be replenished when refilling the lubricating oil.
