At present, the cooling methods of electric vehicles mainly adopt air cooling, liquid cooling, heat pipe cooling, phase change material cooling and so on. Air cooling is still the main method, and air cooling is relatively easy to implement, but the cooling effect is not good.

1. The air-cooling system is that when the temperature is too high, the energy storage liquid cooling system is required to drive the fan to reduce the temperature in the battery pack. In the design of the air-cooling system, the most important design lies in the design of the cooling air duct of the battery box and fan selection.

2. Liquid cooling components include water cooling pipes, cooling pumps, cooling valves, and cooling plates. When the temperature is low, the available capacity of the battery will rapidly decay. Charging the battery at a too low temperature may cause instantaneous voltage overcharging and cause a short circuit.

3. Liquid cooling is the current mainstream cooling method. In a general-purpose battery module, there is a cooling fin between every two cells, and the cooling fin is connected to the cooling plate. Phase change cooling is a way of using materials to change between solid-liquid-gas three-states, absorbing heat when the heating element is working, and dissipating heat when it is not working.

The heat-related problems of the energy storage liquid cooling cooling system are the key factors that determine its performance, life and cost of use, and of course it will directly affect its energy and power performance in use.
